Every year, beautiful muses grace the street, new festival costumes are done & donned...

[VIGAN, ILOCOS SUR PROVINCE, ILOCOS REGION, LUZON ISLAND, PHILIPPINES] ► Here's my 2017 coverage of the Longganisa Festival. SEO-wise, Google's bots might penalize me for writing multiple entries with same and repetitive keywords and title="Longganisa Festival" but there is a Longganisa Festival every year in my hometown worthy for a separate post. I'll insist my rules. This blog isn't SEO-optimized anyway (I published some of my blog coverages on my other blog though, www.exploreilocos.com).

Every year, beautiful muses grace the street, new festival costumes are done & donned and new choreography is made. For edmaration blog, a new article is published. So Google, please. I ain't spamming your search engine with repetitive keywords and alt="Longganisa Festival". This is Longganisa Festival "2017" and the name of the festival doesn't change.

Insights

This year's Longganisa Festival was overshadowed by the Miss Universe event that happened in Vigan prior. The level of excitement in the Miss Universe event was too high that when the Longganisa Festival week came, it turned out a li'l less exciting. However, the festival must go on. The show was equally great.

I stayed at Calle Crisologo to document the street dancing. Calle Crisologo is not the best place to watch this street dancing because of the crowd and the narrow street but it's still the best place to capture photos with all the ancestral houses at the background.

Anyway, still, the festival drew crowd and curious foreigners also joined the frenzy. | end |
